Substitute Teachers
Mineral County will only accept applications in response to a job posting. Applicants holding a West Virginia professional certificate may apply by submitting:
1) a Professional Job Vacancy Form
2) a professional application
3) a resume
4) three written letters of reference dated within the last two years.
Note: Applicants with a Bachelor’s degree unrelated to education must complete a WVDE approved training. The trainings are offered through the West Virginia Department of Education https://wvde.state.wv.us/elearning and the Eastern Panhandle Instructional Cooperative EPIC formerly RESA VIII) www.epicresa8.org.
Substitute Service Personnel
Mineral County Schools will only accept application in response to a job posting.
Applicants may apply by submitting:
1) a Service Job Vacancy Form
2) a service application
3) a resume
4) three written letters of reference dated within the last two years.
Note: As part of the employment process and if required for the classification, an applicant must successfully pass a state mandated test. To assist with this, Mineral County Schools will invite screened applicants to an orientation. Applicants that pass the test will be screened, interviewed, and fingerprinted. For some classifications, additional trainings and performance assessments will be required.

School
Volunteers: (Volunteer
Agreement Form)
Any person wishing to volunteer in our schools
must submit a completed volunteer form to the school administrator. The school principal will recommend all
volunteers for employment.
Note: SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS ARE APPROVED ANNUALLY.
