Nursing Scholarship
Plan to pursue a degree in English or History Education 3.0 minimum GPA
For a Potomac State student, who must be a member in good standing of Chessie Federal Credit Union
Student must live in the Elk Garden School District
Involvement in school and community
Participation in sports, high academic achievement, & community involvement
Student must have participated in at least one sport @ KHS for 3 years (transfer students excepted)
Must attend Potomac State; community service and essay required
Student's parent must be a member of the Mineral County Education Association.
For students who will be attending a one or two year vocational or technical school
Math/Science College major, preference given to Math Education
A Female student athlete- minimum 3.0 GPA- leadership,hard work ethic
Must be a member of the Track team for at least 3 years
NEW APPLICATION COMING SPRING 2017 A $2000 for MCTC completers
Student must pursue a degree in Emergency Medical Service or related subject
Essay required.
Community Service, good attendance, two letters of recommendation, 2.0 gpa
Potomac State College - priority given to education major
Financial Need and Community Service required
Two KHS students with one from Piedmont District. Submit preliminary application to guidance. KHS scholarship committee will choose finalists.
NEW APPLICATIONS COMING SPRING 2017 Students who are planning to attend a 4 yr WV college or university, preference given to applicants entering an energy related program
Five $2000 scholarships for students accepted or enrolled in a health care curriculum
For students interested in agriculture, conservation or an environmental field at a WV college
