In order for Jostens to better serve you during your students’ senior year and getting prepared for your upcoming GRADUATION Celebration, they will need you to click on the link provided below . . . Flu Vaccines

The Mineral County Health Department will be offering seasonal flu shots at Keyser Area Schools on Monday, October 5th and Thursday, October 8th. They will also offer flu shots for virtual students on Wednesday, October 7th from 8:30 am to 10:30 am at the Keyser Middle School gym. If you are interested in having your child vaccinated, please contact your student’s school for a consent form. The consent form must be completed in full and returned to school by Friday, October 2nd in order to provide services to your student. If you have any questions about the vaccine or the clinics, please call the Mineral County Health Department at 304-788-1321. Please visit the CDC’s influenza website at or contact your student’s health care provider for further information about influenza and the vaccine.

SAT and Scholarship Information for Seniors

Keyser High School is offering the SAT assessment for college entrance and scholarship applications next Wednesday, September 23.  Any senior wanting to take the assessment must sign up in the main office by this Friday, September 18th.   Students taking the test should arrive no later than 8:00 am for registration and enter through door number 28, which is the door close to the gym.  Bring your own calculator if it is on the approved list.  The test will last approximately 4 hours and end around 1:30.  The test results can be used for college entrance and scholarship applications.    

SAT Assessement Unacceptable Calculators 

  • Laptops or other computers, tablets, cell phones, or smartphones 
  • Smartwatches or wearable technology of any kind 
  • Models that can access the Internet, have wireless, Bluetooth, cellular, audio/video recording and playing, camera, or any other smart phone type feature 
  • Models that have a computer-style (QWERTY) keypad, pen-input, or stylus 
  • Models that use electrical outlets, make noise, or have a paper tape 
  • Calculator function on a mobile phone 
  • In addition, the use of hardware peripherals such as a stylus with an approved calculator is not permitted. Some models with touch-screen capability are not permitted (e.g., Casio ClassPad).

Please check your school email for the access code to Mrs. Droppleman's Schoology Counseling Page. This page will provide a listing of scholarships, deadlines, and upcoming events. Parents can also sign up. There will also be a code for the Remind text messaging app.
