Scholarship for students that have a WV hunting and fishing license, a 3.0 cumulative GPA, and be pursuing a degree at an accredited institution of higher education. Students must show community leadership and be involved in school activities.
Fifteen $1000 grants are awarded on the basis of scholarship, a personal statement, demonstrated leadership ability, financial need and other criteria.
The Washington Crossing Foundation Scholarship Award is for students completing twelfth grade in 2020 & who are planning careers in government service. Scholarship applicants must be citizens of the United States. Each interested student is invited to write a one-page essay stating why he or she plans a career in government service including any inspiration to be derived from the leadership of George Washington in his famous crossing of the Delaware. This essay must be accompanied by a recommendation from the high school principal or guidance counselor evaluating the student's achievements, along with transcripts, national testing scores, and other supporting information of the applicant's choice as described in the Official Rules.
The recipient of this prestigious scholarship will be granted a $10,000 renewable scholarship beginning the fall of freshman year.
LIEUTENANT JAMES W. HOTSINPILLER JR. AND DEPUTY UNITED STATES MARSHAL DEREK W. HOTSINPILLER SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION Awarded to one or more high school seniors with a 3.0 GPA who have been accepted to a West Virginia College or University, and intend to major in criminal justice or a related field and pursue a career in law enforcement. If your application is ranked for possible selection you will be called for an interview.
This is a lucrative, local and competitive scholarship for seniors who will be attending college full time and studying one of the following majors: Accounting, Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Economics, Education, Political Science, Psychology and Social Science. Students must have a minimum 3.0, have some financial need and good citizenship. Frankfort HS Scholarship committee will choose a Frankfort HS finalist from the applicants, who will then go to the Bank of Charles Town to interview with the bank trustees. The FHS finalist will receive a scholarship; the amount varies each year. The complete application is due to the counseling office by March 1st.
This $500 scholarship is for high school seniors interested in an agriculture/conservation related field at a WV college or university. Nine $500 scholarships will be awarded. Proof of enrollment will be required prior to receipt of the award check.
This $600 scholarship is for a Mineral County high school senior who wants to continue his/her education after graduation.

Scholarship given to a Frankfort HS senior with at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA and at least a 20 composite ACT score. Student must be attending a four year college or university (can be outside of WV).
Students (under the age of 19) write an essay (following the rules expressly written on the application) on the following topic: "Is Optimism the Key to Achieving the Dreams you Imagine?"
