Parents/students seeking Proof of Enrollment forms

Parents/students seeking Proof of Enrollment forms during the summer months: please be aware that the Superintendent has changed the Attendance Director's work schedule, therefore he will not working consistently the month of July. If you are in need of a Proof of Enrollment form, please call the Student Services Office at 304-788-4218 and leave a message for Mr. Hendrickson, and your form will be mailed out the next time he is in the office. He will not be able to come in to sign individual forms, but will ensure to mail them out as soon as possible. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.

Energy Express 2020: The WVU Mineral County Extension Service, Mineral County Schools and the Mineral County Family Resource Network (MCFRN) are committed to hosting Energy Express June 22-July 31, 2020. To ensure the safety of children, staff and volunteers, the program will take place primarily at home. While we will not have the traditional program, your child will receive free take home books, meals, activities, and materials for art activities. These will be delivered weekly to the home. Children will have the opportunity to participate in learning opportunities through a variety of media and on-line experiences. AmeriCorps members and site supervisors will create fun engaging experiences.

Participation will support a child’s learning and connection with others over the summer, while being easy for the parent.

Mineral County Technical Center Practical Nursing Program has applied for reaffirmation of accreditation with the Commission of the Council on Occupational Education.  Anyone wishing to make comments on the program my do so by either writing to the Executive Director of the Commission, Council on Occupational Education, 7840 Roswell Road, Building 300, Suite 325, Atlanta, Georgia 30350 or you may submit your comments through the Council’s web site (  Persons making comments must provide their names and mailing addresses.

Pandemic EBT (P-EBT) Cards

Meals to Children During the Summer

Mineral County Provides Meals to Children During the Summer

The Mineral County Schools announces their sponsorship of the federally funded Summer Food Service Program.

Breakfast and Lunch is open to all children, ages 18 years and under, who would like to participate. 

Meals will be served at the following sites: Keyser Primary School,1123 Harley O Staggers Drive, Keyser, WV 26726 and Frankfort Middle School, 356 Golden Drive,

Meals will be available for pick up every Monday from 11 am to 1 pm starting June 1, 2020 and ending on August 14, 2020. Meals that are picked up will consist of 5 breakfast and 5 lunches.

A nutritious meal is important for children to learn, play and remain active during the summer months. Remember, Hunger Doesn’t Take a Summer Vacation!

Steps to apply for Enrollment:
  • Complete the P-Steps application Online at:
  • Email a scan or photo of  the following documents to (Please type the word ENROLLMENT in the subject line to ensure that the email goes into the correct folder):
    1. Child's Birth Certificate
    2. Child's Social Security Card
    3. Proof of Income:   Tax return for 2019 (1040),  W-2's,  or 4 recent check stubs.
    4. Immunizations
    5. One Proof of residency (Utility Bill, Mortgage statement, rental agreement, or updated WV Drivers License)
  • If documents cannot be emailed, please mail them to:

  • After online application and documents are received, an application packet which will include a self-addressed stamped envelope will be mailed to you.  Please complete these forms and return them to your HOME SCHOOL in the self-addressed envelope.
  • Once the application documents are received back in the Home School, the application process will continue.
Mineral County Pre-K/Head Start is a Program that serves Four Year Old's, we also serve 3-year old's that are Head Start Eligible, on IEP, in Foster Care or receive McKinney Vento services.
