Recent School Threats found to be Viral Hoax:
As you may be aware, yesterday we received a threat regarding Frankfort High School.
Today we were made aware of another vague and non-specific threat which did not target any particular school or schools. In fact, today’s threat did not even mention schools. However, we investigate all threats to determine their credibility and maintain safe school environments.
After having thoroughly investigated yesterday and today’s threats, in conjunction with the Office of Emergency Management, MC Sheriff’s Dept, the WV State Police, and the Maryland Department of Public Safety K9 Division, we have determined the threats were NOT and are NOT credible. Rather, they are part of a multi-state viral hoax that has circulated many school districts and have NO connection to our area or our state.
We appreciate the Office of Emergency Management, MC Sheriff’s Dept, and the WV State Police, and the Maryland Department of Public Safety K9 Division for their assistance as we worked to find the source of these threats.

The previous message about our 3 hour early release for tomorrow, Thursday December 21st, mistakenly said Friday. Our early release and the beginning of Christmas break is tomorrow, Thursday.

Good evening. Reminder that Friday, December 21, is a three hour early release for students. Students will return to school on January 4.
